## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 23, AT YNG, CREW DECLARED AND EMERGENCY DUE TO FUMES IN THE COCKPIT/CABIN. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP WHERE THE PASSENGERS AND CREW EXITED THE AIRCRAFT IN THE NORMAL MANNER. THE SOURCE OF THE FUMES WAS INVESTIGATED BY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL OF THE FBO LOCATED ON THE FIELD AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CABIN VENT BLOWER HAD FAILED AND WAS THE SOURCE OF THE FUMES. THE DEFECTIVE CABIN VENT BLOWER WAS DEFERRED PER THE PROCEDURES OF THE OPERATORS MINIMUM EQUIPMENT LIST FOR THE AIRCRAFT, AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO IT'S HOME BASE FOR REPAIR. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION OF THIS MATTER REVEALED THAT HIS WAS THE THRID FAILURE OF THE CABIN VENT BLOWER EXPERIENCED BY THIS AIRCRAFT WITHIN THE LAST THREE MONTHS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
