## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APPROACH TO LANDING THE PILOT RECEIVED A GEAR HORN AND UNSAFE LIGHT. ATTEMPTS TO RECYCLE THE GEAR FAILED. PILOT MADE GO-AROUND. PILOT DETERMINED VISUALLY THE MAIN GEAR WERE DOWN, AND DEDUCTED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE NOSE GEAR. PILOT TRIED TO PUMP THE GEAR DOWN MANUALLY. A FLYBY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE GEAR FULL DOWN. LANDING MADE A THIRD APPROACH WITH GEAR STILL SHOWING UNSAFE MODE. ON LANDING, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED, CAUSING SHEET METAL DAMAGE, PROP DAMAGE AND PROBABLE ENGINE DAMAGE. NO INJURIES. MINOR DAMAGE. CLASSIFIED AS AN INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
