## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 7, 1999, AT APPROXIMATELY 0931 MST, N5820C, A CESSNA 402C, CARRYING CARGO UNDER AN AIR CARRIER CERTIFICATE, MADE AN EMERGENCY GEAR UP LANDING AT ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ABQ) IN ALBUQUERQUE, NM. THE PILOT COORDINATED BY RADIO WITH COMPANY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL, BUT WAS UNABLE TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR DUE TO A MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION. THE PILOT CIRCLED ABQ FOR TWO HOURS BURNING OFF FUEL AFTER WHICH HE MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING OF RUNWAY 3 AT ABQ. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
