## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER TAKEOFF FROM JVL THE CREW NOTICED THAT THE DOOR OPEN LIGHT WAS ILLUMINTED WITH THE HANDLE UP. THE CREW MADE A DECISION TO PROCEED TO YIP WITH THE GEAR DOWN. THE CREW PERFORMED A FLY BY WITH MAINTENANCE PERSONEL OBSERVING AND THE OK WAS GIVEN TO THE CREW BY MAINTENANCE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AND SLOWED DOWN TO ABOUT 60KT WHEN THE CAPTAIN ATTEMPTED TO MAKE THE RIGHT TURN OFF AT THAT TIME THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
