## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS DOING SOFT FIELD TRAINING WITH STUDENT. STUDENT DID A GO-AROUND. CFI DID TWO MISSED APPROACHES, LANDED AND TAXIIED BACK ON RUNWAY FOR AN UPHILL TAKE-OFF. CFI STARTED TO LOSE CONTROL DURING TAKE-OFF ROLL. HE DECIDED TO ABORT THE TAKE-OFF, THEN CHANGED HIS MIND AND CONTINUED THE TAKE-OFF. AIRCRAFT CLIPPED SOME SMALL TREES AND LANDED SIDEWAYS IN A FIELD OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY. PILOT (CFI) HAD NEVER LANDED AT THIS FIELD BEFORE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
