## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE EN ROUTE FROM MADSON COUNTY AIRPORT (UYF) TO GREATER CINCINNATI AIRPORT (CVG) ^PRIVACY DAT^ AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO LOOSE POWER. THE POWER DROPPED FROM 2500 RPM TO 2300 RPM, AND THEN TO IDLE. ^PRIVACY D^ TRIED TO SWITCH FUEL TANKS BUT THIS DID NOT HELP. ^PRIVACY D^ THEN ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT THE BLUE ASH AIRPORT. ^PRIVACY D^ WAS TOO HIGH SO HE MADE A STEEP APPROACH TO RUNWAY 24, LANDED LONG AND DEPARTED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED PARALLEL TO RWY 24 ALONG THE ROUGH TERRAIN UNTIL THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR SEPERATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. ^PRIVACY D^ STATED THAT HE DID NOT TRY THE CARBURETOR HEAT TO CORRECT THE POWER LOSS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
