## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 30, 1999, N1501N WAS BEING OPERATED ON A LOCAL FLIGHT IN THE PANAMA CITY AIRPORT (PFN) TRAFFIC PATTERN. DURING A TOUCH AND GO LANDING ON RUNWAY 32 A GUST OF WIND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER TO THE RIGHT AND GO OFF THE RUNWAY. THE LEFT MAIN COLLAPSED AFTER HITTING A SAND DUNE WHICH BROKE THE GEAR CONNECTIN LINKS AND CAUSED THE AIRPLANE TO NOSE OVER. THE FABRIC ON THE BOTTOM OUTER EDGE OF THE LEFT AND RIGHT WINGS WAS CHAFFED AND TORN. THE WOODEN PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND AND SPLINTERED BOTH TIPS. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
