## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) A PIPER PA-32-260, PILOTED BY ^PRIVACY DATA O^, LANDED ON RUNWAY 27R AT OAK RIGHT OF THE CENTER LINE, THE MAIN GEAR TOUCHED FIRST WITH OUT ANY INDICATIONS, AFTER THE NOSE GEAR TOUCHED DOWN, THE AIRCRAFT MADE A QUICK RIGHT THEN LEFT. THE PILOT ADDED POWER TO ATTEMPT A GO AROUND. THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH AIRSPEED SO POWER WAS RETARDED AND THE RIGHT BRAKE WAS APPLIED TO COUNTER THE LEFT STEERING OF THE AICRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED LEFT AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT DAPARTED THE RUNWAY, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED, AND THE RIGHT WING TIP AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OF THE FOUR PASSENGERS ONBOARD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
