## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)AS THE PILOT APPLIED BRAKES DURING A TAXI BRAKE BURN IN MAINTENANCE CHECK WITH THE ANTI-SKID SYSTEM OFF, THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL BRAKE LOCKED, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO TURN UNCONTROLLABLY TO THE LEFT. THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED OFF THE TAXIWAY BEFORE THE PILOT REGAINED CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. AS A RESULT, THE LEFT WING TIP STRUCK A TAXIWAY SIGN CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE WING TIP CAP ASSEMBLY. AN INSPECTION OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM REVEALED NO ABNORMALTIES TO THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS OR INSTALLATION. A SYSTEMS FUNCTION CHECK WAS PERFORMED, WHICH RESULTED IN NORMAL OPERATIONS OF THE BRAKES WITH THE ANTI-SKID ON AND OFF. THE LEFT WHEEL BRAKE ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AT THE REQUEST OF THE OPERATOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
