## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ENGINE BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH ENROUTE. LEFT FUEL TANK WAS SELECTED AND CARB HEAT APPLIED. ENGINE RECOVERED FOR A SHORT TIME THEN LOST POWER. EMERGENCY LANDING WAS MADE IN A PLOWED FIELD. TOUGHDOWN WAS TO THE WEST HEADED FOR THE FENCE OF THE ADJACENT FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT PASSED THROUGH THE FENCE ROW AND THE DRIFTED SNOW, STRIKING A FENCE POST WITH THE LEFT WING, AND THEN WENT OVER ON ITS BACK IN THE ADJACENT FIELD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
