## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5) WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT AT 9,000 MSL, PILOT REQUESTED A HIGHER ALTITUDE TO AVOID CLOUD TOPS. ATC WAS UNABLE TO ISSUE AN IMMEDIATE CLIMB. AIRCRAFT PENETRATED CLOUD TOPS AND ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TO SEVERE TURBULENCE CAUSINGTHREE PASSENGERS TO BE TOSSED OUT OF THEIR SEATS. THE THREE PASSENGERS SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES AND WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT. ONE PASSENGER WAS KEPT OVERNIGHT FOR OBSERVATION AND RELEASED AFTER 24 HOURS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
