## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) BECAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT SIT LOCATION AND A MEANS TO GET THERE, I DID NOT VISIT THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT. HOWEVER, MR. RICHARD PARKER (NTSB) WAS OFFERED ASSISTANCE BY THE SAN BERNARDINO SHERIFF DEPT. GIVING HIM A HELI RIDE TO THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT AND PROVIDED HELP WHEN NEEDED. THEREFORE, I MUST DEFER TO THE ACCIDENT STATEMENT WRITTEN BY MR. RICHARD PARKER PER NTSB ACCIDENT FORM ID#LAX-00-FA-122.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX00FA122](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX00FA122), Mar 7, 2000: Piper PA-12 (N7586H), Cima, CA, destroyed, 1 fatal. Probable cause: In-flight collision with terrain for undetermined reasons.

## Other reports on N7586H (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19780104001209I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19780104001209I), Jan 4, 1978: Piper PA12 (N7586H), San Diego, CA, Minor damage. Nose up during landing in moderate crosswind

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
