## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. KNIGHT, UPON LANDING ON FXE RUNWAY 8 WITH A CROSSWIND OF 020 DEGREES/6 KTS, HAD A SLIGHT BOUNCE WITH A DROP OF THE RIGHT WING, CAUSING IT TO HIT THE RUNWAY, SUBSEQUENTLY THE PILOT ADDED POWER IN AN ATTEMPT TO MISS THE RUNWAY LIGHTS AND GROUND LOOPED THE AIRPLANE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB MIA00LA116](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/MIA00LA116), Mar 22, 2000: Stearman A75N1 (N541JK), Fort Lauderdale, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control after touchdown and the subsequent wing tip strike, ground loop, and runway excursion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
