## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)ON MARCH 25, 2000 AT 1715 LOCAL TIME, AN RV-6 REGISTERED TO ^PRIVACY DAT^ LOST POWER DURING CRUISE FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR INJURIES TO THE PILOT. THE PILOT HOLDS A PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT THE DICKINSON, ND AIRPORT (DIK). SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CRANKSHAFT REAR MAIN BEARING AND JOURNAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
