## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PIC MADE APPROACH TO LANDING ON RUNWAY (RWY) 31. AFTER A WHEEL LANDING AIRCRAFT (AC) ROLLED OUT AND THE TAILWHEEL CONTACTED THE RWY ALONG THE CENTER LINE. AFTER TAIL WHEEL CONTACTED THE RWY SURFACE THE AC PROCEEDED TO DRIFTED TO THE LEFT. THE PIC CORRECTED DIRFT WITH FULL AILERON INTO THE WIND AND FULL RIGHT RUDDER. AS THE AC CONTINUED TO DRIFT LEFT THE PILOT APPLIED RIGHT BRAKE. THE AC IMMEDIATELT RUNED RIGHT, CROSSED THE RWY, SKIDDED OFF THE RWY INTO THE GRASS AND CAME TO REST 180 DEGREES TO RWY31. THE SIDE LOAD CAUSED THE GEAR TO COLLAPSE. THE PROPELLOR BLADES WERE BENT BACKWARDS AT 90 DEGREE ANGLES 6 INCHES FROM THE TIPS. THE AC WAS OTHERWISE UNDAMAGED. THE SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE AC WAS NOT INJURED. THE WIND WAS GENERALLY 220 @ 18G26.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
