## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)AN EYEWITNESS OBSERVED THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 16 AT WESTCHESTER COUNTY AIRPORT, WHITE PLAINS NY (HPN). THE WITNESS STATED THAT AS THE AIRCRAFT DESENDES THROUGH APPROXIAMTELY 100 FEET, THE LANDING GEAR WAS STILL RETRACTED. HE FURHTHER STATED THAT AS THE AIRCRAFT DESCENDED THROUGH APPROXIAMTELY 50 FEET, IT APPEARED THAT THE LANDING GEAR BEGAN TO EXTEND PARTIALLY, AND THEN RETRACT AGAIN. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON IT'S BELLY. THE PILOT WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
