## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)ON MAY 12, 2000 AT APPROXIMATELY 1700 LOCAL TIME, A CESSNA CE-172-RG MODEL AIRCRAFT, REGISTRATION NUMBER N6283V, ENTERED THE PATTERN FOR LANDING AT PEARSON FIELD IN VANCOUVER, WA, RESULTING IN A GEAR-UP LANDING. THE PILOT AND SOLE OCCUPANT,^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ADMITTED TO PERFORMING AN ABBREVIATED CHECKLIST PRIOR TO LANDING, BUT FAILED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT WAS EQUIPPED WITH A LOW RPM SWITCH, BUT THE HORN FAILED TO SOUND PRIOR TO IMPACT. POST-INCIDENT INSPECTION REVEALED THE SWITCH OPERATING BUT THE HORN WAS BROKEN. THE PILOT SUSTAINED NO INJURIES AND ONLY MINOR DAMAGE WAS DOEN TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
