## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)^PRIVACY D^STATES HE GROUND LOOPED DURING TAKEOFF DURING INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT(PURPOSE IN ORDER TO COMPLETE A BIENNEIAL FLIGHT REVIEW AND OBTAIN A TAIL WHEEL ENDORSEMENT) PILOT STATES, AS HE ADVANCED THE THROTTLE AND THE AIRPLANE WAS ROLLING ON THE RUNWAY, IT BEGAN TO FISH TAIL A LITTLE, THEN MADE A SHARP SWING TO THE RIGHT. PILOT STATES HE THOUGHT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR SAID FULL POWER, SO HE PUSHED THE THROTTLE FULL OPEN AND THE AIRPLANE TURNED SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT, OFF THE RUNWAY. PILOT STATES THAT THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR SUBSEQUENTLY TOLD HIM THAT HE HAD SAID PULL THE POWER, AND THAT THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR SAID HE TRIED TO APPLY LEFT RUDDER, BUT WAS UNABLE TO PUSH THE LEFT RUDDER PEDAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
