## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT BEGAN EXPERIENCING ENGINE TROUBLE OVER K00. ONE MAGNETO WAS OUT AND APPARENTLY HAD FOULED THE PLUGS. TURNED BACK TO THE NEAREST (K00) AND FLEW OVER THE FIELD AT ABOUT 2500 FT. WHERE EVERYTHING LOOKED NORMAL. SET UP FOR A LANDING AND ON SHORT FINAL NOTICED THAT THE RUNWAY HAD BEEN PLOWED. HE TRIED TO LAND WITH A WHEEL ON EACH SIDE OF THE FURROW. AT ABOUT 40 MPH THE 1/H MAIN GEAR IMPACTED THE DIRT AND THE A/C VEERED TO THE LEFT. IT THEN IMPACTED THE FENCE, AND CAME TO A STOP IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
