## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS DESCENDING UPON A LANDING SITE WHEN HE SPOTTED POWER LINES AT THE LAST MINUTE. HE STATED THAT HE TRIED TO CLIMB BUT DID NOT HAVE TIME OR DISTANCE TO CLEAR LINES. PILOT INITIATED AN EMERGENCY LANDING PROCEDURE AND LANDED BEFORE HITTING POWER LINES. ENVELOPE CONTACTED WIRES BUT NO DAMAGE. WHEN THE ENVELOPE DESCENDED ON THE HOT BURNER SOME OF THE MATERIAL WAS MELTED. NO INJURIES AND MINOR ENVELOPE DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
