As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT CRASHED ON LANDING ROLL OUT WHEN LEFT HAND MAIN LANDING GEAR BROKE AT TOP ATTACH POINT AND DEPARTED THE AIRCAFT. THE RIGHT HAND MAIN LANDING GEAR ASSEMBLY FOLDED UP INTO WHEEL WELL. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED ON THE LEFT WING AND BELLY AND CAME TO REST IN A GRASS AREA ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC00LA190](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC00LA190), Jul 6, 2000: Spartan 7W (N17613), Jefferson, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The overload failure of the left main gear strut housing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
