## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)THE PILOT WAS SPRAYING A CELERY CROP AND HAD TO FLY UNDER THE WIRES TO GET THE DESIRED CONVERAGE. HE WAS JUST ENTERING THE AREA TO CROSS UNDER THE WIRE WHEN A THERMAL CAUSED HIS RIGHT WING TO RAISE AND STRIKE THE WIRE ABOUT TWO FEET FROM THE WING TIP. THE WIRE BROKE AND PUT A MINOR DENT IN THE LEADING EDGE OF THE WING. HE FINISHED HIS RUN AND RETURNED TO HIS BASE WHICH IS ABOUT FOUR MILES FROM THE SITE OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
