## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)PILOT STATED HE LOST ENGINE POWER WHILE FLYING AT 1500 FEET MSL. HE SAID HE CHECKED THE PROP MIXTURE AND CHECKED FUEL BOOST PUMP ON AND SWITCHED TO THE OPPOSITE FUEL TANK TO NO AVAIL. ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART AND DID NOT GET GEAR DOWN INDICATION WHEN GEAR WAS EXTENDED SO HE PUT THE GEAR LEVER BACK TO THE UP POSITION AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT GEAR UP ON HIGHWAY 79. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN THE COLOR OF THE FUEL DRAINED FROM THE LEFT AND RIGHT TANKS AND THE REASON FOR THIS IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTORS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
