## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)ON JULY 7, 2000, AT 2128A DO-328-100, S/N 3058 REGISTERED AS N440JS AND BEING OPERATED AS VNAA FLIGHT #4046, LANDED ON RUNWAY 28R AFTER REPORTING A SMELL OF SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AND TAXIED TO THE GATE WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE RIGHT ECU PACK FAILED AND WAS REPLACED AT PIT. OPS CHECKED AND RETURNED TO SERVICE. INVESTIGATION BY DESK AUDIT AND CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
