## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED HE WAS LANDING AT KIRKSVILLE, LOST CONTROL, AND GROUND LOOPED THE AIRPLANE. HE SAID WIND AND WEATHER WERE NOT A PROOBLEM OR FRACTOR. HE ALSO SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE AIRCRAFT AND THAT HE SIMPLE LOST CONTROL OF IT DURING THE LANDING ROLL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI00LA231](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI00LA231), Jul 31, 2000: Piper PA-20 (N5590H), Kirksville, MO, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot failed to maintain directional control during landing.

## Other reports on N5590H (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19850118001229A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19850118001229A), Jan 18, 1985: Piper PA20 (N5590H), Wakeeney, KS, Substantial damage. One main gear ran thru slush on side of runway. This pulled aircraft off the side of the runway into a snowbank..

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
