## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS BRIEFLY ESTABLISHED ON FINAL WHEN PROPELLOR STRIKES OCCURRED ON ANOTHER COMPANY A/C THAT WAS BELOW AND SLIGHTLY AHEAD OF HIM ON A QUARTER MILE FINAL AT APPROX. 60 FEET. BOTH A/C IMPACTED TOGETHER AND WERE CONSUMED IN THE POST IMPACT FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW00LA233](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW00LA233), Aug 15, 2000: Schweizer G-164B (N944QC), Deerpark, LA, destroyed. Probable cause: the failure of both pilots to maintain a visual outlook during landing approach. A contributing factor was both pilot's failure to follow recommended traffic patterns.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
