## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)ON AUGUST 17, 2000, AT APPROXIMATELY 1915, PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ , AT LUIS MUNOZ MARIN AIRPORT, FAILED TO FOLLOW THE BEFORE LANDING CHECKLIST AND LANDED A TWIN ENGINE AIRPLANE, BE-18 (N52A), WITH THE LANDING GEAR IN THE UP POSITION. THIS AIRPLANE BELONGS TO MBD CORP., AN ON DEMAND CARGO OPERATION THAT OPERATES UNDER PART 135 OF THE FEDERAL AVIATION REGULATIONS. ^PRIVACY DATA^ AFTER REALIZING THAT HE FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR ADDED POWER TO THE AIRPLANE AND WENT AROUND THE PATTERN AT THE AIRPORT, KNOWING THAT HE HAD DAMAGE BOTH PROPELLERS ON HIS FIRST ATTEMPT. DURING THE COURSE OF THE INVESTIGATION AND THE INTERVIEW CONDUCTED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED IN OUR OFFICE, HE STATED AND ADMITTED TO THIS OFFICE THAT HE FORGOT TO SELECT THE LANDING GEAR DOWN ON AIRPLANE N52A.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
