## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER BEING CLEARED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 25, N739HA TURNED FINAL AND DURING HIS FLARE, DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT OF CENTERLINE, OUT OF CONTROL, AND STALLED THE A/C. THE LEFT WING TIP STRUCK THE GROUND FIRST FOLLOWED BY THE NOSE WHEEL AND THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE PROP BLADES WERE BENT FORWARD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX00LA323](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX00LA323), Sep 3, 2000: Cessna 172N (N739HA), North Las Vegas, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the pilot-in-command to maintain proper airspeed during the aborted landing go-around which resulted in a stall/mush and impact with terrain.

## Other reports on N739HA (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19800822086849I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19800822086849I), Aug 22, 1980: Cessna 172M (N739HA), Mansfield, TX, Minor damage. Pilot struck powerlines during simulated forced landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
