(-23)AIRCRAFT OVERFLEW ONCE THEN MADE TWO LOW APPROACHES. THE PILOT ESTIMATED THAT THE WINDS WERE 10-15 KNTS WITH A SLIGHT LEFT CROSSWIND, THE WINDS FAVORED RUNWAY 6. ON THE THIRD APPROACH THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 6. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHDOWN APPROXIMATELY 700 TO 1000 FEET PAST THE RUNWAY THRESHOLD AND ROLLED DOWN RUNWAY6. THE PILOT SAID THE "HE THOUGH HE WOULD HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM TO STOP AND HAD NOT IMMEDIATELY TAKEN AGGRESSIVE ACTION TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT." THE PILOT THEN REALIZED, AS HE APPROACHED THE END OF THE RUNWAY, THAT HE NEEDED TO AGGRESSIVELY APPLY BRAKES, WHICH HE DID. THE AIRCRAFT SLOWLY WENT OVER THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND DOWN AN STEEP ENBANKMENT. THE AIRCRAFT'S NOSE WHEEL DUG INTO THE SOFT GROUND WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP OVER ON ITS BACK AS IT WENT OVER THE EMBANKMENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
