## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N3347F, A CESSNA CE-182 WAS FACING NORTH, AND STOPPED ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE WEST (NORTH-SOUTH) TAXIWAY AT THE FRIDAY HARBOR AIRPORT, WHEN N53201 COLLIDED WITH IT WHILE TAXING SOUTHBOUND. THE PIC OF N53201 STATED THAT HE WAS DISTRACTED BY ANOTHER A/C PARKED ADJACENT TO N3347F AT THE FUEL ISLAND, AND ANOTHER A/C BEHIND N3347F THAT WAS TAXIING NORTHBOUND. WITNESSES STATED THE N53201 APPEARED TO BE TAXIING FASTER THAN A NORMAL SPEED AND THAT THERE WAS SUFFICIENT ROOM TO SAFELY MANUEVER BETWEEN THE TWO PARKED A/C.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA00LA179](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA00LA179), Sep 12, 2000: Cessna 182J (N3347F), Friday Harbor, WA, minor damage. Probable cause: The Cessna 172 pilot's failure to maintain clearance with the Cessna 182. Factors included aircraft parked/standing on the taxiway and the refueling area, and a congested/confined taxiway.

## Other reports on N3347F (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19870802063319I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19870802063319I), Aug 2, 1987: Cessna 182J (N3347F), Blakely Island, WA, Minor damage. The pilot aborted the takeoff when he realized plugs were still in intakes. Aircraft overran the runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
