## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE A/C DEPARTED A PRIVATE STRIP SOUTH OF ALLEGAN. THE FLIGHT WAS ABOUT 10 MINUTES. A NORMAL PREFLIGHT AND ENGINE RUN WERE PERFORMED BEFORE THE FLIGHT. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS DOING A SHORT FIELD LANDING, AND ON SHORT FINAL THE PLANE JUST DROPPED. WINDS WERE 8-10 KTS FROM NW. TOUCHDOWN MARKS IN SNOW WERE APPROX. 70 FEET FROM THE WRECKAGE. THE A/C DECELERATED RAPIDLY AND NOSED OVER APPROX. 300 FEET SHORT OF RUNWAY 28. THE PILOT DID NOT HEAR THE STALL HORN, OR ANY UNUSUAL ENGINE NOISE, OR CHANGE IN ENGINE RPM. ENGINE CONTROL CONTINUITY WAS ESTABLISHED. CARB HEAT CONTROL WAS FOUND ON. CARB HEAT SHROUD, AIRBOX, AND DUCTING WERE SATISFACTORY. FUEL SUPPLY WAS ADEQUATE. THE STALL HORN TESTED GOOD. FLAPS WERE FULL DOWN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI01LA056](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI01LA056), Dec 31, 2000: Cessna 150M (N63276), Allegan, MI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The proper glide path not maintained by the pilot. A factor to the accident was the deep snow.

## Other reports on N63276 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
