## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) NARRATIVE GIVEN BY^PRIVACY DATA^THE A/C DEPARTED SAN FRANCISCO NATIONAL AIRPORT ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN TO ANCHORAGE, AK. APPROX. 5 MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT SMOKE WAS NOTED COMING FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM AROUND THE WINDSCREEN DEFROST VENTS. CHECKLIST PROCEDURES WERE FOLLOWED. SOON THEREAFTER THE RIGHT ENGINE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER THE CREW CONFIRMED THE PRESSURE ON THE GAUGE THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN. AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS MADE AT THE SANTA ROSA AIRPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
