## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)ON LANDING NEAR DUSK AT A PRIVATE LANDING STRIP, A DEER RAN FROM THE LEFT AND COLLIDED WITH THE A/C. THE A/C HAD SLOWED TO APPROX. 20 KNOTS ON ROLLOUT WHEN THE PILOT NOTED THE COLLISION WAS IMMINENT. THE PILOT LOCKED THE BRAKES AND SLID ABOUT 30 TO 40 FEET BEFORE THE DEER IMPACTED THE PROPELLER AND LEFT SIDE OF THE A/C. THE IMPACT BROKE THE PROPELLER AND DAMAGED BOTH THE UPPER AND LOWER ENGINE COWLING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
