## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI01IA073](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI01IA073), Jan 25, 2001: Canadair CL-600-2B19 (N785CA), Grand Rapids, MI, incident, minor damage. Probable cause: The uncommanded deployment of the right flight spoiler due to the fatigue fracture of the spoiler lug.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System.
