## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT REPORTED THAT UPON LANDING AS HE LOWERED THE COLLECTIVE, THE CYCLIC CONTROL STARTED TO SHAKE IN HIS HAND. THE PILOT THOUGHT THE CYCLIC MOVEMENT MIGHT BE THE BEGINNING OF GROUND RESONANCE, IN AN EFFORT TO STOP THE OCCILATION, THE PILOT LIFTED THE HELICOPTER BACK INTO THE AIR. AT THAT POINT THE CONDITION WORSENED, SO THE PILOT TRIED TO RE-LAND. PRIOR TO MAKING THE SECOND LANDING HE WAS ABLE TO TURN THE HELICOPTER TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT WITH TAILROTOR CONTROL, LOOKING FOR A FUEL TRUCK THAT WAS IN THE PROXIMITY. STILL FIGHTING THE CYCLIC CONTROL THE HELICOPTER BEGAN MOVING SIDEWAYS TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT TRIED TO MANUEVER IT BACK TO ,THE LEFT, BUT COULD NOT, THE RIGHT SKID TOUCHED DOWN AND THE HELICOPTER ROLLED ONTO ITS SIDE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA01LA043](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA01LA043), Jan 29, 2001: S.N.I.A.S SE 3130 Alouette II (N31330), Driggs, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain aircraft control for undetermined reasons.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
