## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRMAN STALLED THE A/C AT LESS THAN 30' ABOVE THE RUNWAY. ADDED POWER BUT CONTACTED THE GROUND WITH THE LEFT WING. THE A/C WENT ACROSS THE TAXIWAY, TWO GRASS STRIPS AND STOPPED ON THE RAMP 20' SHORT OF A HANGER. THE LEFT WING WAS BENT AND DAMAGED. LEFT GEAR SHEARED OFF AND THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE PROP HAD THE TIPS GROUND OFF.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA01LA068](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA01LA068), Mar 30, 2001: Piper PA-28 (N33657), Scapoose, OR, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot's failure to maintain a speed above minimum in-flight stall speed (Vs). Factors include gusty winds at the time of the attempted landing.

## Other reports on N33657 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19800803066719I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19800803066719I), Aug 3, 1980: Piper PA28/ (N33657), Missoula, MT, Minor damage. Landed short of runway due to fuel exhaustion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
