## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APRIL 19, 2001, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND AT THE BLAIRSTOWN AIRPORT (1N7), A GUST OF WIND PUSHED THE PLANE TO THE LEFT. BEFORE THE PILOT COULD CORRECT, THE LEFT TIRE SUNK IN THE WET GRASS. THIS PULLED THE PLANE FURTHER TO THE LEFT AND, WHEN THE MAIN GEAR HIT THE GRASS, IT SUNK IN AND CAUSED THE PROP STRIKE AND NOSE GEAR TO BREAK OFF.

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20250524007109I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20250524007109I), May 24, 2025: Piper ARCHER (N8150W), Smithfield, NC, Minor damage. Aircraft had very hard landing, burst both MLG and severe propeller strike.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
