(-23) THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND OF N2890X, MR. DANNY ABBRUZZESE, REQUESTED A FUEL UPLIFT OF TWENTY GALLONS OF FUEL AT KEY WEST, FLORIDA (EYW). ON AN APPROXIMATELY FIVE MILE FINAL, THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED FUEL STARVATION AND LANDED IN A WOODED AREA APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE SHORT OF THE APPROACH END OF RUNWAY 04 AT ZPH. AT THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT, THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOTED TO BE COMPLETELY VOID OF FUEL, AND NO FUEL WAS OBSERVED ON THE GROUND. THE WINGS HAD SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT, AND THE CABIN ROOF HAD BEEN TORN FROM THE AIRCRAFT. DEBRIS AND EXTERIOR AIRCRAFT PIECES WERE OBSERVED SCATTERED IN THE TREE TOPS AND ON THE GROUND IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION.
