(-23) ON JUNE 26, 2001, AT APPROXIMATELY 10:30 CDT, BEECHCRAFT BONANZA, BE33-F33A, N273PS, A GENERAL AVIATION AIRPLANE, LANDED GEAR-UP AT ROGERS, ARKANSAS. THE AIRPLANE IS REGISTERED TO P & J CORP. AND OPERATED BY PAUL SERFASS OF BENTONVILLE, ARKANSAS. THE PRIVATE PILOT, SOLE OCCUPANT, WAS NOT INJURED. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED, AND A FLIGHT PLAN WAS NOT FILED FOR THE 14 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91 FLIGHT. THE LOCAL FLIGHT WAS ORIGINATING AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT TO PRACTICE TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS. PRELIMINARY INFORMATION INDICATES THAT THE PILOT WAS ON A FINAL LEG OF THE FLIGHT AND WAS DISTRACTED BY AN AUDIBLE SIGNAL. DURING THE REMAINING DESCENT OF THE FLIGHT, THE PILOT WAS OCCUPIED WITH TRYING TO FIND THE CAUSE OF THE AUDIBLE SIGNAL AND FAILED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR. THE AIRPLANE STRUCK THE GROUND CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FUSELAGE AND DAMAGE TO THE WING FLAPS AND CAME TO REST IN AN UP-RIGHT POSITION. INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THE PILOT DID NOT HAVE A CURRENT AND APPROPRIATE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE IN HIS POSSESSION AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.
