## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 30, 2001, A BEECH AIRCRAFT N3739Z DEPARTED GTU AT APPROXIMATELY 9:45 PM AND RETURNED TO GTU AT ABOUT 10:15 PM. THE PILOT PUT THE GEAR HANDLE DOWN AND ONLY TWO GREEN LIGHTS APPEARED, THE RIGHT GEAR LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE. THE PILOT TESTED THE LIGHT WHICH WAS WORKING, AND RECYCLED THE GEAR HOWEVER, ONLY TWO GREEN LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. A PILOT ON THE GROUND WAS INSTRUCTED TO OBSERVE AND VERIFY THE LANDING GEAR WAS IN THE DOWN POSITION. AFTER THREE PASSES THE PILOT ON THE GROUND CONFIRMED THAT THE AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR WAS DOWN. THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT AND THE LANDING GEAR REMAINED STABLE ON THE RUNWAY. AS THE PILOT INITIATED A LEFT TURN TO THE GTU TERMINAL THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. A MECHANIC WAS NOTIFIED AND UPON HIS INITIAL INSPECTION INDICATED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR WAS BROKEN AT ROD END ATTACHMENT TO MAIN GEAR. FURTHER DAMAGE WAS NOTED TO RIGHT MAIN GEAR DRAG BRACE WHICH WAS BROKEN AT TWO LOCATIONS. IN ADDITION, THERE WERE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE RIGHT PROP AND RIGHT WING CONTROL SURFACES. NO FIRE, NO NMAC, AND NO DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
