## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD AN 8 KNOT QUARTERING TAILWIND AND THAT THE LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL UNTIL HE TRIED TO TURN OFF AT THE HIGH SPEED TAXIWAY. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO THE LEFT AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY INTO THE SOFT DIRT. THE AIRCRAFT TIPPED UP ON ITS NOSE DAMAGING THE NOSE BOWL AND BREAKING ONE WOODEN PROPELLER BLADE. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE BRAKES ON THE BELLANCA ARE ADEQUATE BUT NOT EFFECTIVE. THIS INCIDENT INVESTIGATION IS NOW CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
