## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON THURSDAY, JULY 19, 2001 AT 1530 EDT, A HU-369E HELICOPTER, N577DB, OPERATED BY RAINBOW AIR, INC., NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK, LANDED ON A MOBILE PAD AND EXPERIENCED "DYNAMIC ROLLOVER". THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC01LA179](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC01LA179), Jul 19, 2001: McDonnell Douglas 369E (N577DB), Niagara Falls, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The right skid getting snagged on the helicopter-dolly resulting in dynamic rollover.

## Other reports on N577DB (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19930828036749I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930828036749I), Aug 28, 1993: Hughes 369E (N577DB), Niagara Falls, NY, Minor damage. Left rear landing gear struck the pad deck when aircraft settled on pad. Broke rear gear strut.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
