## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A FUEL STARVATION PROBLEM WHILE ATTEMPTING TO GO AROUND THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AT KANKAKEE AIRPORT (IKK). AIRCRAFT WAS FORCED TO LAND ON A FRONTAGE ROAD NEAR THE KANKAKEE FAIRGROUNDS. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LEFT WING, TORN FABRIC APPROXIMATELY 6 TO 8 INCHES LONG. THE OWNER DISCOVERED A DISCONNECTED FUEL LINE DUE TO A LOOSE CLAMP. APPARENTLY WHEN THE ENGINE WARMED UP, THE LINE NOT BEING HELD IN PLACE BY A CLAMP, BECAME DISCONNECTED FROM THE ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
