## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON A 900 FOOT GRASS STRIP AND NOTED THAT HE WAS LONG AND TOO FAST. HE ELECTED TO GO AROUND AND UPON HIS CLIMB OUT THE PROPELLER CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE TOP WIRE OF A POWER LINE. THE PILOT COULD NOT MAINTAIN ALTITUDE AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT IN A CORN FIELD APPROXIMATELY ONE QUARTER OF A MILE FROM THE POINT OF CONTACT WITH THE POWER LINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
