## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MIDWEST EXPRESS FLIGHT 521, WAS ENROUTE FROM MILWAUKEE, WI. TO DENVER, CO. AT FLIGHT LEVEL 370 WHEN THE LEFT ENGINE POWER LEVER STUCK. THE CREW SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND DIVERTED INTO OMAHA, NE. COMPANY MAINTENANCE FOUND THAT THE POWER LEVER CONNECTION TO THE FUEL CONTROL WAS LOOSE. THE ENGINE WAS CHANGED DUE TO OVERTEMP. THE AIRLINE FILED A SELF DISCLOSURE STATING THAT MAINTENANCE HAD WORKED ON THE RIGGING IN THE PAST AND APPARENTLY HAD NOT SAFETIED THE POWER LEVER CONNECTION. THE CHDO IS CONDUCTING THE INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
