## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 26, 2001, AT APPROXIMATELY 0830 CDT, AG CAT G-164B, N80083, SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF THE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER WHILE ENGAGED IN AERIAL APPLICATION NEAR WALLACE, NEBRASKA. THE PIC REPORTED NO INJURY RESULTING FROM THE IMPACT. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION FAILED TO DISCLOSE MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH ENGINE, ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM, ENGINE IGNITION SYSTEM, OR ENGINE FUEL SYSTEM. CONDITIONS STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT FUEL EXHAUSTIN INDUCED THE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER.
