## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA01FA145](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA01FA145), Jul 29, 2001: Piper PA-32-260 (N3479W), Puyallup, WA, destroyed, 6 fatal. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain adequate airspeed during departure resulting in a stall. Trees were a factor in the accident.

## Other reports on N3479W (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19890323023169I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19890323023169I), Mar 23, 1989: Piper PA32260 (N3479W), Ft Lauderdale, FL. Pilot thought he landed at another airport. No radio contact on taxiing. Possible ATC conflict in handling.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
