## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT REPORTED AT A CRUISE ALTITUDE OF 33 THOUSAND FEET AND 1.5 HOURS INTO FLIGHT THE RIGHT ENGINE DEVELOPED A MEDIUM FREQUENCY, LOW AMPLITUDE, VIBRATION. ALL ENGINE INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED TO IDLE AND A RETURN TO SALT LAKE CITY WAS INITIATED. MAINTENANCE REMOVED THE ENGINE AND FOUND THAT ONE LOW PRESSURE TURBINE BLADE TIP SHROUD HAD SEPARATED FROM THE BLADE. THE ENGINE WAS SHIPPED TO GARRETT AVIATION SERVICES IN LONG BEACH, CA. WHERE THE ENGINE WAS INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE AND BLADE REPLACED. THE ENGINE WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
