## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

- [NTSB CHI01LA255](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI01LA255), Aug 1, 2001: Beech A36 (N136GR), Sugar Grove, IL, substantial damage. Probable cause: the inadequate maintenance inspection and the unsuitable terrain encountered by the pilot mechanic. The fuel system leak was a contributing factor.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
