## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT DURING A WHEEL LANDING ON AN ASPHALT RUNWAY THE AIRCRAFT VEERED APPROXIMATELY 20 DEGREES TO THE RIGHT AND, UPON APPLYING BRAKES TO CORRECT THE TURN, THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED FORWARD ON ITS NOSE AND THEN WENT COMPLETELY UPSIDE DOWN. PILOT STATED THAT WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR, HOWEVER, THE PILOT BELIEVES THE WHEEL STRUTS MAY HAVE BEEN OUT OF ALIGNMENT TO CAUSE THE DIRECTIONAL PROBLEM. THE PILOT STATED THAT ON A PREVIOUS LANDING ON A GRASS STRIP, THE LANDING WAS GOOD, NO STRUT PROBLEMS NOTICED. CORRECTIVE ACTION PENDING REPORT FROM MECHANIC THAT IS WORKING ON AIRCRAFT WHO WIL L CHECK STRUTS. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
